Talking about Angelina Jolie - Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Victoria & Beckham, going around India city by Bajaj or wedding in Italy, launching new perfume.
New babies, families, what they wearing, how lovely are their kids and how happy being them, rich, famous, “perfect”…
Simply I don’t care. Actually I’m seek and tired to see them and plus all the paparrazi following them just to get some quick shoot.
Sometimes in our life, we need an idol, we get crazy about them.
But it is obvius they need us, public, to continue to be stars, to be seen more than anyone.
Sometimes by pathetic way.
I stay with Jeniffer Aniston and her “Friends” - a reflected of us.

I do, but only above us version

An idol is sure needed. Ketika seseorang sudah menjadi “influence” bagi orang lain, he/she is an idol, not just because the’re famous - good personality - handsome or else bahkan public enemy bisa jadi idol hehehe

Dari kemaren sepulang dari luar kota, istri saya ngomel terus tuh begitu denger kabar dari TV kalo Aa Gym menikah lagi. Regardless she got crazy or not about him, it seems she have to find another idol.

Hola! Como estas? Soy Lily Devita.
I accidentally bumped into your blog and saw your writing about living in spain. tu vives en Espanol, es la verdad? Como se puede? I learned Spanish about two years ago, i have come to basico tres, but i didn’t continue the lesson, since I had to start working in a company. But I still have strong passion to learn Spanish again. I’ve been looking all over to find someone who also understands Spanish. Do you mind if we write each other? Mucha gracias.

If I were you, I would have made a poll like this:
Do we need stars?
(a) No
(b) Hell no
(c) Fucking hell no
Seriously, I can never understand common people’s obsession with celebrities. Okay, so I do have favorite actors/actresses like Dustin Hoffman or Jodie Foster, but I only like them because they entertain me with their acting –whatever happens to their personal life is not my damn business.
Same goes with musicians. I’m a big fan of Moby, and I do know that he extensively uses a Roland Juno 106 analog synthesizer to make his music. Do I know who’s Moby’s current girlfriend? FUCK NO, because I don’t even care. Should I persistently follow Moby-related gossips through tabloids and ‘infotainment’ TV programs? FUCKING HELL NO. See, the only reason I’m being a fan of Moby is his music.
See, that’s why I never understand common people’s obsession with stars, celebs, and tabloids. They’re just artists, for crying out loud! Obsessed with their works, yes, but obsessed with whom they just screwed last night or divorced with is just plain fucking stupid.
But then again, there are probably reasons why common people are often called ‘ignorant masses’. Gyah.

Neng,
Those soap stars and other ondel-ondels cramming our tube, are meant to play their roles.. they are the mannequins (do I write it correctly?). Everyone chooses their role in life, some are behind the closed doors on the back drops.. some are orchestrating the music and some others are spectators of the play.
For me, I guess - sit back relax and observer are the best, while learning the best out of their performance to apply onto our lives are paramount. I hate the spotlight, as those are really tempting, indeed.
How’s life treating you, dear?
Hugs and kisses from West Africa..

Neng,
May this finds you well.. looking fwd to reading your next posting.
[OOT] By early next year - hopefully I am aiming high for re-assignment, to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia so I can be in one roof with the family, supporting the new hybrid mission for Somalia - though there will be time to be deployed to Mogadishu.
Hugs & kisses from West Africa..
